My Story: Why I Do This
Hi, I'm Divy, your dedicated car finance guy. My journey in Canada began in 2020 as a student with big dreams, studying business and marketing in Belleville. Like many newcomers, my path wasn't easy. It involved long weekends travelling to Toronto for delivery jobs just to make ends meet, and later, working essential roles at places like Walmart and gas stations through the pandemic. Those experiences taught me the value of hard work and, more importantly, how critical a reliable vehicle is for getting ahead in this country.
After finishing my studies and gaining experience in the marketing world, I landed a role at a dealership. I spent two years learning the ins and outs of the auto industry, but my true passion for auto financing was sparked by a frustrating personal experience. I was with a close friend trying to get a car loan, and because of a difficult credit situation, the finance manager simply said, "We can't help you." Seeing my friend's disappointment was a turning point.
I refused to accept that answer. I dove into research and discovered that not only was it possible for my friend to get approved, but that many people in his situation were being taken advantage of—pushed into unfair deals or turned away completely. I saw a gap where empathy and real expertise were desperately needed. That’s why I started "Your Car Finance Guy"—to be the person I wish my friend had that day, and to help people just like him get the fair chance they deserve at their dream car.
